hey neopets??? spongebob’s exercise equipment is an absolutely bizarre thing to reference for your ‘New Year New Me’ background
like, did they just want to give everyone spongebob’s gym set as a customization option (most reasonable explaination), or did somebody think this is what a gym is supposed to look like????
nebublues tentacles are a bit small/his heads too big and it was probably a mistake to make him first- i havent used clay in forever/wasnt sure how it’d dry so he came out kinda cracked. oops. rushed those suckers.
the two mallows i made after, much simpler so no cracking there.
i mean, i think ‘What Is Everyone Staring At’ is ultimately not meant to be sincere- it’s kind of poking fun at the protagonist in a way, and honestly, even if we were meant to read it as an uncritical telling of the protagonists perspective, its not TMBG’s place to necessarily make a song from the perspective of a couple that would experience prejudice for being seen in public
but i guess what im saying is… if they hadn’t made it clear in the past that they didnt want people covering their old unused and unreleased demos, i’d probably enjoy a sincere cover of it from the perspective of a gay couple
the biggest thing keeping “What Is Everyone Staring At” from being iconic is not that its an unfinished demo that only exists as a low quality answering machine recording, nor is it that one really drawn out note that stays a little too long, nor that it will never be a real finished song because the melody for the verses was reused as the melody for the children’s song “Sleepwalkers”, but that TMBG established the genders of the people on the song as ‘a boy and a girl’
little chili dog things: leaning up against you, head craned upwards, licking the air in front of your face while you persistently lean away so that she cannot reach your face. “i am safe from the chili dog here.” you think to yourself, foolishly, and then she sneezes and you decend into hell
Anonymous asked: i like your new kacheek sculpt the best out of all of them, followed by the older mutant aisha. that said they're all really great and i love them all very much!!
bonus: throwback to when my mom didnt want to buy me pokemon action figures as a kid but would buy me clay, so i just made my own pokemon figurines- these were all made in between 2007-2012
me and my sisters would play with them frequently (and i wasnt the best at making things structurally sound) so most of them are mangled and broken and were often hotglued back together, because hotglue would set really quickly and you could go right back to playing
olive detected that i wanted to photograph my new neopets sculptures next to my old ones and decided that my time would be better spent Pampering Olive
